The Second Cold War

clemens & strong wife

Roger Clemens beat Brian McNamee to court, filing a defamation suit against the former trainer who claimed to have injected him with performance-enhancing drugs.

After his first public interview since the Mitchell Report, that aired Sunday night on 60 minutes in which he denied everything that McNamee had stated in the report, Roger Clemens filed a defamation suit against him. Clemens said in the interview that the things that McNamee told former Senator George Mitchell were “untrue and defamatory.”

But ealry this afternoon ESPN investigative reporter TJ Quinn spoke to McNamee’s attorney who said that his client is determined to file a counter lawsuit against Clemens. And that the things that Clemens said in the interview on 60 minutes were “a total lie.” McNamee’s attorney also told Quinn that he has proof that Clemens hired attorneys before the Mitchell Report even came out. So this is most likely a start of a brutal conflict between the two men. When McNamee was first approached about the report he denied everything saying that he did not inject Clemens but when he was pressured by Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew Parrella and IRS Special Agent Jeff Novitzky he caved and sang like a canary to this two men. But now the question is which one of these two men is lieing. Is it McNamee who denied, denied, denied and then caved or is it Clemens who has been saying i have not used steriods from the beginning. I have a feeling that we will not find out the truth for sometime.

In his interview on 60 minutes Clemens said that he would take a lie detector test but was not sure if they’re good or bad. I have no idea what that means but it kind of sounds like Roger is backing himself into a corner. McNamee’s attorney’s would agree with because they said that the only reason that he filed the lawsuit was so he could avoid testifying in front of Congress. But now Clemen’s attorney said that this lawsuit would not stop him from testifying in front of Congress. Clemens did say that McNamee injected him with something but not steriods. He said that he got injected with vitamin B-12 and the painkiller lidocaine. But then McNamee refutes that and said in the report that he injected him with steriods and HGH.

To me this sounds like the beginning of the 2nd Cold War. So far everything that one man said, or should I say there attorney’s said, the other has just came back and said the exact opposite. This is the start of a long drawn out battle of words between these two characters. We all no that Clemens reputation is already shattered, should it be I don’t think so, but that is your call. He should not be judged until proven guilty. But the one man that is probably the most happiest man in the world over the last month is BARRY BONDS! Since the report came out we have not heard his name at all, and you know good because I am sick of him and all of this steriod shit. LETS JUST WATCH THE NFL PLAYOFFS! FUCK YOU BASEBALL…FUCK YOU!
