Two Mississippi State players have been kicked off the team and dismissed from the university after their arrests Thursday night.
In a statement Friday, the university said that the dismissals of starting left tackle Michael Brown and backup defensive tackle Quinton Wesley are pending a campus judicial hearing. The two were arrested in what was described in the statement as a “campus incident involving two handguns.” No one was injured and Dean of Students Mike White said in the statement there was no threat to other students.
Police recovered the guns and charged Brown with possession of a firearm and Wesley with aggravated assault, both felonies. Well for the past couple of weeks I have been able to write some blogs about bad things that have happened in sports and this is another one of those bad things.
These two players probably got all drunk up and thought they were on top of the world and started stuff with students who were giving them trouble. They don’t understand what a-holes they now look like. They are just plain stupid and now are not playing D-1 football anymore and more importantly they are not getting the chance to get a first class education…That’s all I have to say about that!
