Big Brown had to overcome the far outside post 12 when he won the Florida Derby five weeks ago at Gulfstream Park. On Saturday at Churchill Downs, when he tries to become the first horse in 93 years to win the Kentucky Derby off just three starts.

Big Brown will be farther out, as far as can be, in post 20, the position co-owner Michael Iavarone and trainer Richard Dutrow Jr. surprisingly selected when post positions were set on Wednesday night for the 20 runners entered in the 134th Derby. Well well well its that time of year again when for every other weekend the OTB’s of America will be packed to the max with old people who spend every day there, with women who go to talk to the old people, and to the future of our generation who have no idea what is going on in with these horses and pick them just to say they did.

This is my second favorite time of the year (first being March Madness). The triple corwn weekends are great, they consist of spending all day at the OTB betting on races that you have no idea whats going on and you pick the winners based on there horses names or if there jockey is Italian (or whatever nationality you are). But it is so much fun because you honestly sit there and yell at the screen and the cool thing is your not the only one yelling. There are OTB lifers there that flip out when they lose, they throw there little card at the TV, they curse…its histerical!

So if you have never been to the OTB or never betted on horses before, I suggest you try it out because not only is it something different but its fun and there is so much you can bet on! O and ps this, I think, is the toughest bet in sports to get right THE KENTUCKY DERBY WINNER…so good luck and I will let you no how I did next week!
