The NBA playoffs tip off this weekend with Shaq, Kobe and KG chasing the same thing … but they aren’t alone.

Well after one of the best NBA regular seasons in awhile the playoff seeds are finally set…coming down to the last game to decide the fate of a few teams. The east has been pretty much set for a while now expect for some teams in the middle, but these teams will do absolutly nothing throughout the playoffs. Now the west was a totally different story, this came down right to the wire to see who would be playing where. I have not been looking forward to the NBA playoffs this much since the Jordan days and the UNSTOPABULLS! The playoffs start on Saturday and I am going to give you my predictions for each series of the first round!

Lets start in the east…We will start with the easiest matchup of the playoffs…Celtics, Hawks this is a no brainer, I got Boston in 5 NBD! Now lets move on to the Cavs and Wizards…these two teams played last year and the Cavs won and alot of people are saying that the Wizards are more fired up about this year and want the Cavs…lets get real here another easy pick..Cavs in 6 maybe even 5. Pistions 76ers…this match up maybe a little intriguing…the 76ers have been playing some very inspired ball the last month but but but c’mon its the Pistons, I have been talking about them coming out of the east all year…Pistons in 5. The last east matchup Magic Raptors…this series comes down to Chris Bosh and Chris Bosh alone…if he plays well the Raptors win the series if not they lose and lose bad…but i think that he will keep them in each game but still lose the series in 7!

Now it brings me to the west…lets start in Houston…it seems like every year in the playoffs these two teams face each other in the 1st round and this year even though the Rockets won 22 straight games they will not be able to beat the Jazz in Utah twice so I am going with the Jazz in 6. Sorry T-Mac! Lets fly to LA now and talk about the Lakers-Nuggets matchup…not gonna lie to you this is going to be very exciting alot of points will be scored. But the one reason I dont like Denver is they dont play defense at all. And they will not be able to stop Kobe off the dribble..but there high powered offense will allow them to win 2 games…Lakers in 6. Hornets-Mavs this is my UPSET SPECIAL for the first round. The Hornets have absolutly no playoff experience on the floor and the Mavs have more then enough. I dont know why but I like the Mavs in 7. Dirk will have a huge series and so will Chris Paul…but his numbers (CP) will be down from the regular season and just not be enough!

Now the last series is probably the best series of the 1st round and could actually be a West Conference Finals matchup…Spurs Suns…I am not gonna lie this is excatly why the Spurs went out and got Shaq…for Tim Duncan and the Spurs…but its playoff time and this is where the entire Spurs team steps up and plays a full 48 minutes. So I am sorry to say because I am a huge huge Shaq guy but the Suns will be out in 7 as well. But not becuase of Shaq!

So there it is ladies and gentlemen the 1st round of the playoffs in the books…now lets see what really happens!
