It looks like suffering through a 15-67 season is enough to move Pat Riley off the bench and back into the front office.
According to multiple Florida media reports, the future Hall of Famer is expected to step down as the Miami Heat’s head coach at a news conference set for 4 p.m. ET. The reports, from the South Florida Sun Sentinel and the Miami Herald, say Riley will stay on as team president. The front runner for the job is Heat assistant coach Erik Spoelstra. Well we all saw this one coming…after a horrible season in Miami and winning less games then number of years I have been alive we all new that he was done.
I think that he would have stayed if the Heat had some upside for next season but they really dont, besides Wade and Marion they arent very good. I mean they might just sneak into the playoffs because they are in the East but they will not make noise at all. So Pat you got your ring a few years back…good job and now focus on rebuilding this team!
