The only difference is that current offshore, on line ,and legal sportsbooks will have to pay to use what I call “The U.S. Sports Product”.
I call it the U.S. Sports Product , because it is something that has been created by major U.S. companies ie. NFL, NHL,etc. and is being exploited around the world and on the internet through sports betting. Now it seems to be that some European pro sports want to receive some compensation for the EU product they have created. It is ridiculous These sportsbooks use the U.S. and EU product to sell their bets and profit from T.V. broadcasts etc. This article actually advertises NBA HDTV betting specials.
The sportsbooks and legislative folks around the world are saying that if Pro Teams start charging sports betting bodies money to use thier “ U.S Product” , there will be an outbreak of players and others putting on the fix.
I disagree, the world has used the “U.S. Product “ long enough and haven’t had to pay a dime. Well now that it is time to pay the fiddler, they change thier tune to ,the threat of THE FIX. Maybe there will be more temptation for players to fix a game for monetary rewards. Thats why pro sports should be a privelage to participate in. Even if we had to set up psych evaluations and interviews with family members and friends of potential pro athaletes, to see if they might have a predisposition to a sports betting problem. This would certainly not cost much money to do. Teams could limit thier liability and create a high level of integrity in professional sports.

Time to put money in our U.S. pockets.
I am glad we have legislature to govern where our country is going from a moral stand point. But every other country in the world is benefitting from our pro sports teams, when it comes to sports gambling. When you look at online or offshore betting they use our logos sport promo’s ,TV broadcasts, etc. Every one is making money for thier communities except the U.S.
I believe the states that have Indian casinos collect a wopping 2% of the casino profits. Lets expand gambling and put the money back in our communities. No more pocket picking, if there is no sports betting in US charge the rest of the world for the use of our PRO sports Product.
I really can not believe that all the U.S. Pro Sports Organizations, NHL, NFL, and many others are against expanding legal gambling. This is a financial issue, offshore and European sports books are making tons of money off our Pro Sports products when it comes to sports gambling.
I guess we are deduced to selling Jerseys and Popcorn to get revenues from Pro Sports.

Have you ever considered betting to LOSE ?
Sportsbooks and Bookmakers do it all the time. Why ? Because the result of the sporting event doesn’t matter they still put money in there pockets.
It is really pretty simple, a sportsbook just has to bet both sides and they get there money from the vigourish (the money you pay for them to take your bet). With that being said it isn’t hard to put the fix on,or to know what horse to bet against. Consider having for-knowledge as to whether or not a horse gets a drink of water before a race. That is great information, especially when you are betting to LOSE. Everyone knows a horse will be pretty lethargic with abelly full of water.
I know there are drug restrictions for horses , steroids, barbituates, and whatever. But you can’t test a horse or punish an owner for letting a horse drink water. “You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink. This always has and will always be an incentive to bet to LOSE. What can you do? Everyone wins , the government gets the tax money and the sportsbook and bookmakers make thier share. So do not be suprised if you here about someone betting to LOSE.
So make your most educated bet when making a wager and realize some people bet to LOSE !
