The bottom line is, you can play by the sport books rules, never take advantage of any perks, but if you win consistently most sportsbooks will always treat you like crap and eventually cut your ass off. Most sportsbooks hate anybody who has a chance of beating them. Even before you win, if you play the hot sides that move the line and still lose, many will cut you off. MONEY CHANGES EVERYTHING IN SPORTS BETTING

Tocchet only gets two years probation for sports betting scandal.

Money changes everything , especially when you have it. Tocchet will meet with NHL commissioner Gary Bettman to discuss his return to the NHL. I do not have a problem with any of this, but if this happened to someone with out money thier ass woul be in the slammer. Not only did Tocchet get a measley 2 years probation, he gets to go back to the NHL. I wonder if he used all the money he won gambling to pay for his attorney fees. If he was a good sports bettor he probably has a nice stash somewhere.

Makes me feel bad for Pete Rose. Roses only mistake was trying to deny allegations. Dumb move, we all know now, immediately admitt your guilt pay a little money and the public forgives you. Well hind site is 20/20. hang in there Pete.

The biggest winner here is The Great One, he gets to go home with Janet Jones.

GAMBLING EXPANSION INEVETABLE IN U.S.

Does anyone realize that all our original Colonies or Settlements were financed through gambling?

Not only were the original U.S. settlements financed by gambling, it was ones civic duty to participate in the lotteries set up by the settlements. Our country is not in the best financial position and many experts believe we are on the verge of a depression. Illinoise House Speaker Michael Madigan, is proposing a gambling expansion for the second time to pull his state out of serious financial trouble. This isn’t an effort for the state of Illinoise to live high off the hog, this is an issue of survival.

In the early 1930’s legalized gambling was used to pull the United States out of the Great Deppression.

I agree with House Speaker Madigan, lets expand gambling to prevent a financial collapse. I find it humorous that even though the United States was founded on gambling as a financial resource we only legalize it when we are in a jam. Lets get it straight, is it good or bad ? It is completley exceptable to bet in Vegas or on some Indian Reservation. I believe the states that have Indian casinos collect a wopping 2% of the casino profits. Lets expand gambling and put the money back in our communities.

MICHAEL FRANZESE , FORMER MEMBER OF COLUMBO CRIME FAMILY , SPEAKS TO THE DANGERS OF SPORTS BETTING

I would like to think that Michael Franzese has some great knowledge to share about the dangers of sports gambling, the Dude was in a crime family.

I came across this article by: Pat Jordan , of The New York Times. Former crime family member Michael Franzese , speaks to athletes and other sports bodies about the dangers of sports betting, after spending 7 years prison. I thought you could never be a former crime family member , isn’t that why they call it a family . You can alienate a family member put they can’t be a former family member it’s in their blood. Maybe I watch to much T.V.

I am sure Michael has far better knowledge than the candy coated PG-13 story Pat wrote about. Maybe thats all the general betting public can swallow right now. With all the money , fame, and temptations out there it is appreciative Franzese is trying to keep potential sports figures away from the dangers of putting on the fix. Sure it is tempting to erase a debt , but you would be better off taking out a loan to pay off or pay back a gambling debt. Fixing a game is senseless, it’s not like you can make a carreer out of fixing games. Your carreer would be shorter than Vanilla Ice’s.

Take Franzese advice in this article its not worth it.

If you get pressure from people to put on the fix , realize that ther are many others out there betting the other side. There is to much money involved and believe me you can easily be found so don’t get caught in this dangerous Catch .22 (calibure)
